Isaiah 29:20 meaning and explanation
For the ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who look for evil will be cut down—
Isaiah 29:20, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Isaiah has just pictured a coming day when the deaf hear the words of the scroll and the blind see out of darkness, and the humble and poor rejoice in the LORD (verses 18 and 19). Verse 20 gives the other side of that reversal: the ruthless, the mockers and those who look for evil will be gone.
