Isaiah 32:13 meaning and explanation
and for the land of my people, overgrown with thorns and briers— even for every house of merriment in this city of revelry.
Isaiah 32:13, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Isaiah has just turned from the promised righteous king to warn the complacent women of Jerusalem that within a little more than a year the harvest will fail and the city will fall. Here he names what they should mourn: the land of God's own people, now choked with thorns and briers, and every house of merriment in the city of revelry.
