But now I am coming to You; and I am saying these things while I am in the world, so that they may have My joy fulfilled within them.

Explanation preview
Jesus is praying aloud to the Father in the hours before his arrest, and in verse 13 he explains why he speaks this prayer where his disciples can hear it. He is returning to the Father, but they remain in the world, so he wants his words to become their lasting possession.
