Leviticus 16:32 meaning and explanation
The priest who is anointed and ordained to succeed his father as high priest shall make atonement. He will put on the sacred linen garments
Leviticus 16:32, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
These instructions follow the Day of Atonement ritual, given to Moses after Aaron's sons died for approaching God wrongly. Aaron's high priesthood was not to end with him; verse 32 provides for the anointed successor, the son who would inherit the office, to carry out this yearly atonement.
