Leviticus 4:5 meaning and explanation

Then the anointed priest shall take some of the bull’s blood and bring it into the Tent of Meeting.

Leviticus 4:5, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

These instructions come from God through Moses to Israel at Sinai, and they concern the sin offering for the anointed high priest who has sinned unintentionally and so brought guilt on the people. Blood represents life, and here it is carried inside the Tent of Meeting, closer to God's presence than the blood of other offerings.
