Luke 5:14 meaning and explanation
“Do not tell anyone,” Jesus instructed him. “But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
Luke 5:14, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Jesus has just healed a man covered with leprosy, a condition that made him ritually unclean and cut off from worship and community. Instead of sending him to announce a miracle, Jesus sends him to the priest, as Leviticus 14 required for anyone declared clean after such a disease.
