Nahum 1:15 meaning and explanation
Look to the mountains— the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace! Celebrate your feasts, O Judah; fulfill your vows. For the wicked will never again march through you; they will be utterly cut off.
Nahum 1:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Nahum has just announced Nineveh's doom, and now he turns to Judah with a picture of a messenger running over the mountains toward Jerusalem. The Hebrew word for "good news" is basar, the same root behind the later word for gospel.
