1 Chronicles 1

  1. 9 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabta, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.
  2. 10 Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth.
  3. 11 Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites,
  4. 12 the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites.
  5. 13 And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites,
  6. 14 the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites,
  7. 15 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,
  8. 16 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
  9. 17 The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Meshech.
  10. 18 Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.
  11. 19 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan.
  12. 20 And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
  13. 21 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
  14. 22 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
  15. 23 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan.
  16. 24 So from Shem came Arphaxad, Shelah,
  17. 25 Eber, Peleg, Reu,
  18. 26 Serug, Nahor, Terah,
  19. 27 and Abram (that is, Abraham).
  20. 28 The sons of Abraham were Isaac and Ishmael.
  21. 29 These are their genealogies:
  22. 30 Nebaioth the firstborn of Ishmael, then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema,
  23. 31 Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were the sons of Ishmael.
  24. 32 The sons born to Keturah, Abraham’s concubine: Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.
  25. 33 The sons of Midian: Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All of these were Keturah’s sons.
  26. 34 Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.
  27. 35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
  28. 36 The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, Omar, Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz; and by Timna, Amalek.
  29. 37 The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
  30. 38 The sons of Seir: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan.
  31. 39 The sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam. Timna was Lotan’s sister.
  32. 40 The sons of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah.
  33. 41 The son of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran.
  34. 42 The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz and Aran.
  35. 43 These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the Israelites: Bela son of Beor. His city was named Dinhabah.
  36. 44 When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place.
  37. 45 When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
  38. 46 When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated Midian in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.
  39. 47 When Hadad died, Samlah from Masrekah reigned in his place.
  40. 48 When Samlah died, Shaul from Rehoboth on the Euphrates reigned in his place.
  41. 49 When Shaul died, Baal-hanan son of Achbor reigned in his place.
  42. 50 When Baal-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. His city was named Pau, and his wife’s name was Mehetabel daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-zahab.
  43. 51 Then Hadad died. Now the chiefs of Edom were Timna, Alvah, Jetheth,
  44. 52 Oholibamah, Elah, Pinon,
  45. 53 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar,
  46. 54 Magdiel, and Iram. These were the chiefs of Edom.

1 Chronicles 2

  1. 1 These were the sons of Israel:
  2. 2 Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Dan, Joseph, Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
  3. 3 The sons of Judah: Er, Onan, and Shelah. These three were born to him by Bath-shua the Canaanite. Er, Judah’s firstborn, was wicked in the sight of the LORD, who put him to death.
  4. 4 Tamar, Judah’s daughter-in-law, bore to him Perez and Zerah. Judah had five sons in all.
  5. 5 The sons of Perez: Hezron and Hamul.
  6. 6 The sons of Zerah: Zimri, Ethan, Heman, Calcol, and Dara—five in all.
  7. 7 The son of Carmi: Achar, who brought trouble upon Israel by violating the ban on devoted things.
  8. 8 The son of Ethan: Azariah.
  9. 9 The sons who were born to Hezron: Jerahmeel, Ram, and Caleb.
  10. 10 Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, a leader of the descendants of Judah.
  11. 11 Nahshon was the father of Salmon, and Salmon was the father of Boaz.
  12. 12 Boaz was the father of Obed, and Obed was the father of Jesse.
  13. 13 Jesse was the father of Eliab his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third,
  14. 14 Nethanel fourth, Raddai fifth,
  15. 15 Ozem sixth, and David seventh.
  16. 16 Their sisters were Zeruiah and Abigail. And the three sons of Zeruiah were Abishai, Joab, and Asahel.
  17. 17 Abigail was the mother of Amasa, whose father was Jether the Ishmaelite.
  18. 18 Caleb son of Hezron had children by his wife Azubah and by Jerioth. These were the sons of Azubah: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon.
  19. 19 When Azubah died, Caleb married Ephrath, who bore to him Hur.
  20. 20 Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri was the father of Bezalel.
  21. 21 Later, Hezron slept with the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead. He had married her when he was sixty years old, and she bore to him Segub.
  22. 22 Segub was the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.
  23. 23 But Geshur and Aram captured Havvoth-jair, along with Kenath and its sixty surrounding villages. All these were descendants of Machir the father of Gilead.
  24. 24 After Hezron died in Caleb-ephrathah, his wife Abijah bore to him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.
  25. 25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron:
  26. 26 Ram his firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. Jerahmeel had another wife named Atarah, who was the mother of Onam.
  27. 27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel: Maaz, Jamin, and Eker.
  28. 28 The sons of Onam: Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai:
  29. 29 Nadab and Abishur. Abishur’s wife was named Abihail, and she bore to him Ahban and Molid.
  30. 30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim. Seled died without children.
  31. 31 The son of Appaim: Ishi. The son of Ishi: Sheshan. The son of Sheshan: Ahlai.
  32. 32 The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan. Jether died without children.
  33. 33 The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the descendants of Jerahmeel.
  34. 34 Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters; but he did have an Egyptian servant named Jarha.
  35. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter in marriage to his servant Jarha, and she bore to him Attai.
  36. 36 Attai was the father of Nathan, Nathan was the father of Zabad,
  37. 37 Zabad was the father of Ephlal, Ephlal was the father of Obed,
  38. 38 Obed was the father of Jehu, Jehu was the father of Azariah,
  39. 39 Azariah was the father of Helez, Helez was the father of Elasah,
