Day 182: Psalms 94 - 102

Bible in a year reading for day 182.

Psalms 94

  1. 15 Surely judgment will again be righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.
  2. 16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand for me against the workers of iniquity?
  3. 17 Unless the LORD had been my helper, I would soon have dwelt in the abode of silence.
  4. 18 If I say, “My foot is slipping,” Your loving devotion, O LORD, supports me.
  5. 19 When anxiety overwhelms me, Your consolation delights my soul.
  6. 20 Can a corrupt throne be Your ally— one devising mischief by decree?
  7. 21 They band together against the righteous and condemn the innocent to death.
  8. 22 But the LORD has been my stronghold, and my God is my rock of refuge.
  9. 23 He will bring upon them their own iniquity and destroy them for their wickedness. The LORD our God will destroy them.

Psalms 95

  1. 1 Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout to the Rock of our salvation!
  2. 2 Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him in song.
  3. 3 For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods.
  4. 4 In His hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him.
  5. 5 The sea is His, for He made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
  6. 6 O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
  7. 7 For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the sheep under His care. Today, if you hear His voice,
  8. 8 do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, in the day at Massah in the wilderness,
  9. 9 where your fathers tested and tried Me, though they had seen My work.
  10. 10 For forty years I was angry with that generation, and I said, “They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known My ways.”
  11. 11 So I swore on oath in My anger, “They shall never enter My rest.”

Psalms 96

  1. 1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.
  2. 2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.
  3. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all peoples.
  4. 4 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
  5. 5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
  6. 6 Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty fill His sanctuary.
  7. 7 Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
  8. 8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and enter His courts.
  9. 9 Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.
  10. 10 Declare among the nations: “The LORD reigns!” The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.
  11. 11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea resound, and all that fills it.
  12. 12 Let the fields exult, and all that is in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy
  13. 13 before the LORD, for He is coming— He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.

Psalms 97

  1. 1 The LORD reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the distant shores be glad.
  2. 2 Clouds and darkness surround Him; righteousness and justice are His throne’s foundation.
  3. 3 Fire goes before Him and consumes His foes on every side.
  4. 4 His lightning illuminates the world; the earth sees and trembles.
  5. 5 The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
  6. 6 The heavens proclaim His righteousness; all the peoples see His glory.
  7. 7 All worshipers of images are put to shame— those who boast in idols. Worship Him, all you gods!
  8. 8 Zion hears and rejoices, and the towns of Judah exult because of Your judgments, O LORD.
  9. 9 For You, O LORD, are Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.
  10. 10 Hate evil, O you who love the LORD! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
  11. 11 Light shines on the righteous, gladness on the upright in heart.
  12. 12 Rejoice in the LORD, you righteous ones, and praise His holy name.

Psalms 98

  1. 1 A Psalm. Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done wonders; His right hand and holy arm have gained Him the victory.
  2. 2 The LORD has proclaimed His salvation and revealed His righteousness to the nations.
  3. 3 He has remembered His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
  4. 4 Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth—let your cry ring out, and sing praises!
  5. 5 Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, in melodious song with the harp.
  6. 6 With trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn shout for joy before the LORD, the King.
  7. 7 Let the sea resound, and all that fills it, the world, and all who dwell in it.
  8. 8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy
  9. 9 before the LORD, for He comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Psalms 99

  1. 1 The LORD reigns; let the nations tremble! He is enthroned above the cherubim; let the earth quake!
  2. 2 Great is the LORD in Zion; He is exalted above all the peoples.
  3. 3 Let them praise Your great and awesome name— He is holy!
  4. 4 The mighty King loves justice. You have established equity; You have exercised justice and righteousness in Jacob.
  5. 5 Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; He is holy!
  6. 6 Moses and Aaron were among His priests; Samuel was among those who called on His name. They called to the LORD and He answered.
  7. 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept His decrees and the statutes He gave them.
  8. 8 O LORD our God, You answered them. You were a forgiving God to them, yet an avenger of their misdeeds.
  9. 9 Exalt the LORD our God and worship at His holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.

Psalms 100

  1. 1 A Psalm of thanksgiving. Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth.
  2. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness; come into His presence with joyful songs.
  3. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
  4. 4 Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and bless His name.
  5. 5 For the LORD is good, and His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.

Psalms 101

  1. 1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of Your loving devotion and justice; to You, O LORD, I will sing praises.
  2. 2 I will ponder the way that is blameless— when will You come to me? I will walk in my house with integrity of heart.
  3. 3 I will set no worthless thing before my eyes. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.
  4. 4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know nothing of evil.
  5. 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; the one with haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not endure.
  6. 6 My eyes favor the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way of integrity shall minister to me.
  7. 7 No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who tells lies shall stand in my presence.
  8. 8 Every morning I will remove all the wicked of the land, that I may cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

Psalms 102

  1. 1 A prayer of one who is afflicted, when he grows faint and pours out his lament before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD; let my cry for help come before You.
  2. 2 Do not hide Your face from me in my day of distress. Incline Your ear to me; answer me quickly when I call.
  3. 3 For my days vanish like smoke, and my bones burn like glowing embers.
  4. 4 My heart is afflicted, and withered like grass; I even forget to eat my bread.
  5. 5 Through my loud groaning my flesh clings to my bones.
  6. 6 I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.
  7. 7 I lie awake; I am like a lone bird on a housetop.
  8. 8 All day long my enemies taunt me; they ridicule me and curse me.
  9. 9 For I have eaten ashes like bread and mixed my drink with tears
