Daniel 8:11 meaning and explanation

It magnified itself, even to the Prince of the host; it removed His daily sacrifice and overthrew the place of His sanctuary.

Daniel 8:11, Berean Standard Bible

Explanation preview

In Daniel's vision the little horn, explained later as an insolent king (verses 23 to 25), grows arrogant against God himself. The "Prince of the host" is the commander of heaven's armies, and the horn exalts itself even to that height.
