Romans 7:15 meaning and explanation
I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do.
Romans 7:15, Berean Standard Bible
Explanation preview
Paul speaks in the first person about the inner struggle between wanting good and doing evil. Having just called the law spiritual and himself unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin (verse 14), he describes the gap between intention and action: the good he wants he does not do, and the evil he hates he keeps doing.
